Forms exploratory committee to run against Sen. Mark Pryor

Little Rock health care executive Tom Formicola is forming an exploratory committee for a potential run against Sen. Mark Pryor (D), who has not yet drawn any major party opponents. Formicola lost the Republican primary for an Arkansas congressional seat in 2006. The chairman of the Republican Party of Arkansas, said that Formicola approached him after the chairman initially said he thought the GOP would be unable to field a candidate against Pryor.
