Mike Padgett has a long history of public service. He was first elected to the Knox County School Board in 1984 then as Knox County Clerk in 1986, a position he held for over 20 years. As Clerk, Padgett managed over 130 employees and an annual budget of $57 million. Prior to serving in elected office Mike was a small business owner, he founded and operated Homestead Restaurant & Catering, employing over 25 people.
