Mark Kirk on Education

Encourage flexible federal funding & local control

Education is a vital ingredient to a child’s success. We must strengthen local control of our schools because parents and teachers best understand our children’s needs. By encouraging flexibility in federal funding, we can fix problems like class size, school construction, internet access and teacher pay. We must do everything in our power to safeguard our children from drugs and gun violence.
