Oppose giving benefit to illegal workers

Q: If the President signs the final Executive Totalization Social Security Agreement with Mexico it could lead to Social Security benefits going to individuals who worked in the U.S. while illegal. Do you support the Totalization Agreement?

A: If the U.S.-Mexico Totalization Agreement would permit those who have entered the U.S. illegally to receive Social Security benefits, I would oppose the agreement until this situation was rectified.

Build border fence; increase border patrol

Scott Kleeb believes the government's first priority must be national security, and that begins with securing our borders. Scott will work to:

Secure funding to build a southwest border fence.

Pass the Secure America through Verification and Enforcement (SAVE) Act. This bill would increase the number of border patrol agents, and increase the use of surveillance equipment at the border.

No amnesty for lawbreakers

Impose steep fines on lawbreakers.
Require that those who came to this country illegally pay back taxes owed.
Require that immigrants enroll in English-language programs.
Move lawbreakers to the back of the citizenship line, behind those who came here legally.

Both employers and illegal immigrants should be punished

Illegal immigration: Kleeb said the U.S. must secure its borders. He said both employers and illegal immigrants should be punished. Illegal immigrants should be fined and they should "go to the back of the line" in obtaining U.S. citizenship, behind all immigrants who are using legal avenues to enter the country and become U.S. citizens. Not feasible to deport 12 million illegal immigrants

Kleeb on illegal immigration: America must secure its borders, but it is not feasible to deport 12 million illegal immigrants. Could support giving illegal immigrants the opportunity to earn citizenship by paying fines, back taxes and other penalties.
