Medical marijuana ok; but more penalties for distributors

Support mandatory jail sentences for selling illegal drugs.
Expand federally sponsored drug education and drug treatment programs.
Allow doctors to recommend marijuana to their patients for medicinal purposes.
Hare adds, "We must work harder to stop the flow of drugs from other countries and increase penalties for the sale and distribution of drugs to our children, their parents and their friends."

This bill amends the Higher Education Act of 1965 to repeal the provisions prohibiting persons convicted of drug offenses from receiving student financial assistance.
