Limit “takings” & whittling away of property rights
Private property has been under assault and property rights have been whittled away. The Secretary of Interior [said] that property rights as we know them are dead. I would reverse this trend by assuring that the constitutional limitations on federal
power, the Tenth Amendment and the “takings clause” of the Fifth Amendment are being observed and by making sure that regulations do not cost more than the benefits they achieve.
