Mark Warner on Welfare & Poverty

Democratic VA Governor

Expand enterprise zones

Enterprise zones incentivize economic investment by offering regulatory flexibility, tax credits, or grants. By expanding the number of enterprise zones, the Commonwealth can promote job opportunities for more urban residents, without raising taxes. Legislation has been introduced to expand the number of enterprise zones, but it has not passed. As Governor, Mark will increase the number of enterprise zones, and he’ll target the new enterprise zones to areas with high unemployment.
